Is that all we take away? - City's away following is relegation standard

Fowlers nets hat-trick in Big Apple charity match

Robbie Fowler kicked-off his pre-season preparations with a hat-trick in a charity match in New York. The game was organised by NBA star Steve Nash and allowed the 33-year-old striker to play alongside the likes of Thierry Henry and Steve McManaman. Fowler's XI eventually won the game 9-4.

Hasselbaink contract saga could get messy

As we reported earlier in the week, Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink is preparing to take legal action against Cardiff City AFC. The Dutch striker has been released by the Bluebirds - but the 35-year-old has other ideas and insists that he is eligible to trigger a 'second-year option' in his contract after playing a prominent role in first-team affairs last season.

City again turn to Ibrox as Jones searches for new striker

Cardiff City have been linked with another Glasgow Rangers striker with a move for Kris Boyd seemingly dead in the water. Bluebirds boss Dave Jones is reportedly lining up a £2.5million swoop for fierce-tempered frontman Daniel Cousin.

Is that all we take away? - City's away following is relegation standard

Statistics have revealed that for the 2006/2007 season - Cardiff City had the second worst away following in the whole Football League Championship. The Bluebirds took an average of just 720 supporters to away league games despite a half-hearted push for the play-offs and feel-good factor created following the incredible run to the F.A Cup final. The stats also show Ninian as the least popular ground in the division.

'From Shattered Dreams to Wembley Way'

Last week marked the launch of Annis Abraham's Jnr's eagerly-anticipated book 'From Shattered Dreams to Wembley Way'. Published by Headhunter books, the book deals with the divisive issue of Sam Hammam's controversial reign at Ninian Park - written by some of the men who knew him best.
